PROJECT CHANGE

PROJECT CHANGE is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that will raise money and community awareness to help children and people affected with Fibrous Dysplasia.

CHANGE represents our ability to give back to the community, empower hope, inspire others, come together for a cause, and rally around these children’s and families affected by this condition.

What is Fibrous Dysplasia?

Fibrous dysplasia is a rare bone disease in which some bones grow differently than non-impacted bones. FD happens when abnormal fibrous (scar-like) tissue replaces healthy bone. The fibrous tissue weakens the bone over time, which can lead to fractures (breaks) and misshapen bones.

Mission Statement

To raise awareness, cultivate community, and provide funding for medical needs and support within our fibrous dysplasia community.

PROJECT CHANGE GOALS

  • Educate the community on the disease to help raise awareness and support
  • Award medical scholarships to rewarded applicants requiring surgery, travel, and medical expenses due to fibrous dysplasia.
  • Support our fibrous dysplasia community to meet each other in person annually so they may get to know each other

  • Care Package Program – provide care packages to children and adults requiring surgery due to fibrous dysplasia. Project Change also sends a care package to our newly diagnosed fibrous dysplasia patients.
