Medical Scholarships

At Project Change, the health and well-being of Fibrous Dysplasia patients and families is our priority. Thanks to our sponsors, donors, and fundraising efforts, we are grateful to have the opportunity to provide medical scholarships to Fibrous Dysplasia patients!

  • Patient must be diagnosed with Fibrous Dysplasia.
  • Applicant must provide a copy of a physician’s diagnosis report (example physician’s radiology readout report).
  • International applicants may apply.

  • Travel, lodging, and meals for scheduled out of town medical or dental surgeries or procedures between January 1, 2023- December 31, 2024.
  • Mental health therapy for patients and families.
  • Expenses related to treatment for the Fibrous Dysplasia patient.

The following people (must be 18 or older) can complete the medical scholarship application:

  • Patient
  • Family member of patient
  • Physician

  • Applicant must complete the Project Change online application.
  • The online application includes an essay to explain history of diagnosis, description of scheduled medical or dental surgery or procedure (including date, location, and physician), and financial need for the scholarship (maximum 1000 words).
  • Please provide any financial need evidence if available.
  • Applicant must include a copy of a physician’s diagnosis (example radiology readout) specific to Fibrous Dysplasia.
  • FD medical scholarship awardee or guardian must complete the Project Change social media release form indicating the family/patient will allow social media consent.

  • Online application will go live on January 15, 2024
  • Applications are due no later than February 28, 2024
  • Scholarship recipients will be announced by April 6, 2024
